Gillian Raine GILLIAN WAS EDUCATED AT QUEENS HOUSE SCHOOL HAMPSTEAD WHERE HER LOVE OF ART WAS QUICKLY RECOGNISED AND ENCOURAGED.ÿ SHE BEGAN SCULPTING IN 1966 QUICKLY FINDING SUCCESS WHICH LED TO HER WORK BEING EXHIBITED. I attended a semi private art class with the late Bobby Finch a very establishised sculptor once I felt the clay and started to create I was hooked, I did not stay long as I turned my garage into studio and worked all hours striving to get perfection maybe that I longed to get in my life I have been asked many times what gives me the ideas for each sculpture my answer I just suddenly get a vision and then start to workÿas I seem to be able to express myself visually and find it difficult to put my feelings into words I feel veryÿprivileged to have sold many pieces in London and overseas and that my sculptures have sold so well. Gillians sculpting WORK HAS BEEN PURCHASED BY MANY DISCERNING COLLECTORS AND SHE CONTINUES TO PRODUCE INTRICATE AND SENSITIVE FIGURES OF THE FEMALE FORM IN EITHER BRONZE OR BRONZE RESIN.
